thanks but flights are going via Emirates and Etihad I think,     I understand I need to quarantine for 14 days but at what price where is the cheapest hotel,      then I need insurance to cover covered so where will I get that and how much will it be.   May be impossible maybe not hence the question

You problem is obtaining a COE. Certificate of entry.

That is only available to certain groups such as PR, married to Thai, and several other groups. Tourists and most others are not

Apparently the 270 day (90+90+90) long-stay tourist visa has been approved, according to some newspapers.

14-day quarantine is apparently one of the requirements. We'll have to wait and see what the others are.

The same sources also say that the program will only cater to 1,200 visitors per month.

Very much wait and see.

If in fact they put cap of 1200 per month then it would be a heck of a trick to get on that "list". The 1200 would be worldwide.

Yes that's correct but does not mean open choice. Many can be fully booked and your choice limited. The news today mentioned above is  IMO is nonsense. Especially with the 1200 cap entries per month.

You would be staggered to know how many folk are currently stuck outside Thailand not married but live in Thailand. Some have condos and "stuff" here. Have partners of many years.

Sorry to sound harsh but just to be clear you have ZERO chance to come to Thailand currently. Also IMO for a long time.

BTW your Thai wife who you have been separated for 5 years and is currently in UK, that's a no go.

Nomad, this is just example of thread just started now. It shows how difficult even for married guys etc it can be.

Read up on threads in Thaivisa and you will get better picture.
