60 days extension for Non O based on Thai Child

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am on Non O 1 year Multi Entry based on Thai Child.

My visa is valid until November 2020.

Due to the covid situation, I have not been able to go out of the country since End of February and been covered by the amnesty as far as I know.

I was about to go for 1 year extension but I have been hired by a company to go work in Vietnam.

I am on a process now to get all the approval (Covid) to travel and my flight was scheduled on 18 September. So I was all good.

However, my approval came late and now I have been reconfirmed on the next flight which is the 5th October.

As it will be after the 26 Sept (Amnesty), i will face overstay.

My understanding is that I can get a 60 days extension based on Non O Multi?

Can someone confirm me this and tell me the requirements?

I never had any extension before

Thanks

You can apply for a 60 day extension to visit your child. They will need to be with you when you apply for it.

You will their birth certificate and a copy of it. Copies of their house book and ID card (if they have one).

Copies of your passport photo page, visa, entry stamp and TM6 departure card.

You will also need proof of where you are living.

How long does it take? Is it done the same day?

Just to update that I went to the immigration in Phuket this morning following the recommendation above and got 60 days extension "to visit family" without issues.

The extension date start today (21 Sept) until 20 Nov.

Thanks for the recommendations
