Thats a good question. I miss these too. You would think these sandwiches would be very easy to do in Thailand. The French bread is easily available. In the US, the Viet places put fresh jalapenos on these, don't know if they do in Vietnam though. In Thailand, they probably would need to use another kind of pepper.

Speaking of Viet food, where is there really good Pho in Thailand? Haven't yet had any here even close to places in the US or during a short trip to Hanoi.

i make these all the time, but use bbq pr on a stick from street vendors...buy french bread, and other ingredients, carrot, parsley,vinegar, white soy sauce and your good to go...oh and regular green peppers work..not those little ones
