Online Registration for Permit of Stay Extension

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I saw there was a link somewhere around this forum for the online registration for the extension of permit of stay based on the embassy letter. Here are my questions:

1. Could anyone send that link? I cannot seem to find it anymore on Google or forum threads.

2. I remember there was a screenshot of which appointment to select, could anyone tell exactly which one should be chosen in order to extend the permit of stay under current amnesty for 30 days based on the embassy letter?

3. Finally, if I register but do not show up, are there any penalties for that, such as impossibility to register for another 30 days at the immigration (similar to Vientiane rules)?

I truly appreciate your time regarding these.

The direct link: http://203.151.166.132/immigrant_queue/booking/

It depends on if you entered Thailand with a tourist visa, or with a visa exempt.

On the page after you entered your name, passport number etc:

Tourist visa: Select the entry which says something like "Extension TR60"

Visa exempt: Something like "Short term visa counter K"

Thanks Jack. Truly appreciate your prompt reply in detail. All the best.

I believe this forum topic can be locked if needed, as Jack has answered my question.

One last thing, it looks like all of the slots for the next week are reserved. Am I screwed? Or is it possible to just come to the immigration office?

Nobody knows yet, because we never had this situation and today immigration is closed.

Either you just try to show up there tomorrow without an appointment and try your luck, or you wait on reports from other people who are in the same situation and might try it tomorrow.

If they should just turn people away, you still have the option to make a trip to another province. Spend a night in a hotel there (confirm that they do an online TM30, so that you are officially in this province), and then apply for the extension at the immigration office there.

Try selecting 30 day extension. It may be under the K counter but others have used it for the extension with a letter from their embassy,

I am also looking for the U.S. Embassy Bangkok 30 day extension letter on the web site, still can't find it. I was told you can fill it out online, and get an e-mail back in days.

It can be found on the covid 19 FAQ page.  https://th.usembassy.gov/covid-19-faq/

It is normally received within hours of doing the application.
