First online 90 day report

Featured Replies

Before the usual culprits pile in....I have searched for the answer.

I have just complete my first online 90 day report (first one done in person)......all seemed to go well and it shows as "Pending". The guidance notes say to keep going back to check if it has been approved.

My question is this........if I get to the 7th day (?) after the due reporting date, do I need to panic, do anything....or is it not uncommon for approvals to run past the due date and then be approved?

Don't want to be fined or thrown out of the country.

Normally they will be approved within a few days from the application is accepted.

No fine or anything else if you have proof the report was submitted. The only punishment for late or not reporting is a normal fine of 2000 baht.

Have kept checking the status of my online application....it just says PENDING (applied 26th Sept, due date 2nd Oct....soon to be overdue).

I emailed immigration and explained all this, but all they have done is send me the procedure for applying by post and ignored any reference I have made to the online application.

Is my online application now dead? Do I ignore it, panic and apply by post (4000B fine coming my way)?

Any advice?

Why 4,000 THB & not 2,000THB?

What's your 90 day report history & in particular, did you do one during the Amnesty (If your report is due 2nd Oct I'm assuming your last report was due 2nd July)?  If you didn't then (in Bangkok anyway) you need to do it in person or pay an Agent to go do it on your behalf (1,500 THB).

Print out the pending sheet on the reporting site and take it to immigration to prove you did the report and you certainly will not be fined.

There are no fines until after October 31st.

The normal fine is 2000 baht.

Did first one in person as advised, to make sure I was in the system.....and I am now doing the second one, or trying to, online.

It's still not clear whether you did your 90 day report during the amnesty or skipped it... I.e The one you did in person was that on the 2nd April & you skipped the 2nd July due to Amnesty or did you do your report in person on 2nd July?

If you did skip a report due to the amnesty then (at least in Bangkok) you have to go in person or authorise an agent, as they won't accept online or postal 90 day reports from people who skipped one (They need to stamp your passport with a Red Stamp to say you missed a 90 day report but there is no fine due to Covid 19 amnesty).

If you did skip one (& are in Bangkok) then it's a trip to MTT (just make sure you book an appointment online before going) or I know an agent in Soi 24 that will do it for you for 1,500 THB (Normally their fee is 374.50 THB for doing a 90 day report & they might do it for that for you as you've already done one before so will have the receipt in your passport, but this was my very 1st 90 day report so I had to pay more).
