Extending non-o for another year

Featured Replies

"Mariage" 1 year extension was ending at 20 September. 1st September was applied for another year. And they gave stamp to the passport allowing to stay till 20 October, when should new extension be collected at the office.

Does it sound right?

That's normal to be given the '30 days under consideration stamp' for a marriage extension.

Yeah.

One would expect 30 days from day of submision of documents (1 September - 30 September).

Not to the end of the extension (1 September - 20 September) + 30 days (making it 1 September - 20 October).

Many offices start the 30 day under consideration period from the end of your current permit to stay date.

All offices here in Isaan do it that way. All of my (13th of them) under consideration periods have been done that way.

You will get your one year extension stamp when you report back to immigration. You can contact them ahead of time to find out if the approval has been done yet and go in earlier if it is.

I need to renew my non o in October. Can you tell me what paperwork I need to file? The

e Thai imm English site is down today

Is the permission to stay now extended to October 31st for all regardless of stamp in passport, I read head here , but is it in the Royal Gazette yet ? The reason I ask all offices will be full again in lockstop yet again.

The amnesty has been extended to the 31st of October. You would not be on a overstay now.

It is not in the royal gazette yet. Not all offices may know about it yet.
