webfact 140410 Posted October 5, 2020 Share Posted October 5, 2020 Video: Brit's yacht washes up on Ao Nang beach - the anchor broke loose Picture: 77kaoded Thai media 77kaoded reported that tourist police, rescue and salvage services were informed after a yacht washed up on Nopparat Thara beach in the Ao Nang area of Krabi. The yacht's owner is a British man who arrived in the area from Phuket on Friday. Heavy seas caused the ship to come loose from its anchor and wash ashore. Picture: 77kaoded Salvage operations - viewed by many bystanders - had to be delayed due to high seas but eventually the vessel was righted and found to have a hole near the rear. It is now undergoing repairs. The media gave no name for the owner though they published a picture of a foreigner trying to avoid the camera. I had a 26 Columbia in Florida years ago and that what i did.
