G'day,

I'm a freelance web developer so I need to be online for at least 3 or 4 hours a day. It really helps if I have somewhere quiet and peaceful to work, rather than a bustling internet cafe or cafe with free wifi.

Can anyone recommend a good location? For example, I used public libraries in Australia and New Zealand. They're quiet and have free internet, perfect.

All suggestions appreciated,

Cheers,

Callum.

I'm wonder that a freelance web developer do not have a home based Internet connection!!

3 or 4 hour a day, be an freelance web developer, need a quiet location for peacefull work, make business with and on the Internet and don't have an own account??

Totally un-understandable for me!

I pay for 2.560 Mbps Baht 1,150.00 + 7% and the phone line Baht 100 + 7% a month! Is something like that to much to do business over and with the Internet? Oh, and may need also drink and food for free?! May even don't have a home?!

If so, than I understand, but if you have a home, I DON'T understand at all! to my fellow german neibourghs I would tell: "Better you go home the social government may have all that things for you!"

I'm not sure I fully understand your message. I'm only in Thailand for 6 weeks, I lived here a few months ago so I had an apartment and ADSL, but now that's not appropriate.

Did you have a suggestion for somewhere I could work?

Cheers - Callum.

supposely, true wifi is available for free throughout the entire siam square area, and in the central world mall. haven't tried it. but if this is true, then, it is just a matter of finding the right place to hang out at.

Hey nick2k, I logged onto a TrueWifi point today and it said you can get 3 hours free a day at Siam, you have to send a text with Siam to a number. Not sure if you need a True phone or not, but I have a pay as you talk one.

TrueWifi is a pretty attractive deal, it's 500 baht a month for unlimited wifi usage, so if I can find somewhere near where I'm staying that has coverage, I'll sign up today. :o

TK Park on 7th floor of Central world, its library also, although comps are limited to an hour and 30 mins (1 hour in the"quiet room"). Although you can easily switch computers and get another hour, its 10 baht for 30 mins. Very quiet and nice comps.

Well you didn't mention that in your first post did you? :o

He didn't!! But he explain very well that he use the FREE service in hims Home Country only!

For my opinion,I NOT get everything for FREE and special for that I want to make money with, I have to pay MY part!

Even in the Holy Bible you can read what Jesus was telling: "Who didn't work don't need to eat!" (I don't know the english form of that words but the german: "Wer nicht arbeitet braucht auch nicht essen!".

A very well known person, Karl Marx was take this slogan word by word as well!

Edit: By the way, I'm NOT a christ!
