Many countries don't yet allow to bring pets, not even as cargo or in checked baggage, e.g. Philippines, European Union apparently not for non-EU pet owners.

The TH customs guidelines for importing pets on the official websites (TH embassies, Department of Lifestock) have apparently not been changed since the beginning of 2020 (import permit, import license, vaccinations, fit-to-fly certificate, etc).

But did anyone in the forum import a dog during the past 6 months and can confirm whether new hurdles have been imposed such as a quarantine not "at home", but in a government quarantine station?

 

As it looks today, it will be more import restrictions on you than on your dog. ????

I suggest you join a Facebook group if you want useful replies.

 

You will have to quarantine your dog in a hotel that accepts pets. Some on ASQ list do. Of course, it's not cheap. 

Dogs are free here, pick one up at any roadside, shop entrance or wat ????

There are millions of dogs on the streets here....soi dogs....why not adopt a soi dog instead of bringing one over?????

Maybe he is a bit fussy and does not like dogs infested with flees and rubbin their a***s along the ground killing the worms oozing out....

You may want to check which airlines allow small dogs to travel in the cabin. Our elder daughter and son in law moved to Shanghai last year and took their dog with them. She is a shiatsu poodle cross and was small enough to put in a cage which fits under the seat. They flew with Lufthansa from London to Shanghai. I got the impression this was not uncommon with east Asian flights.

Just wondering how and when you're planning on moving to Thailand??? Have you seen the long list of onerous restrictions, requirements and qualifications for humans to enter The Kingdom...not to mention the lack of flights?

You can't be serious asking about bring a dog into country when even you and many deseving cases cannot get in.
