Pattaya: Three spots to become "Landmarks" - Bali Hai "cruise terminal" mooted

Manager quoted Pattaya's mayor Sontaya Khunpluem as saying that he was hurrying ahead with plans to create three "landmarks" in Pattaya as part of the Eastern Economic Corridor plan ordered by the government.

Almost 10% of candies, gum have harmful artificial colours: Medical Sciences Department

Almost 10 per cent of candies and chewing gum contain exceeding amounts of artificial colours than those permitted by the Public Health Ministry, Department of Medical Sciences acting director-general Dr Supphakit Siriluck said on Tuesday.

Motorways/Expressways free for TWELVE days during long weekends in November/December

The highways department said that Route 7 from Bangkok to Pattaya and the Route 9 motorway from Bang Pa-In to Bang Plee plus the elevated section from Phrapradaeng to Bang Khun Thian would all be toll free during the recently created long weekend holidays next month and in December.

Rubber prices could hit Bt100 a kg

The Rubber Authority of Thailand estimates that rubber prices could soon reach Bt100 per kg, significantly above the government’s guaranteed price, after many rubber producing nations reeled under floods while demand from China jumped due to the country's local governments promoting the use of small vehicles.

PHUKET: The area around where a large section of a karst in Phang Nga Bay collapsed, sending some 30,000 tonnes of rock onto a popular coral reef below, will remain sealed off for safety for at least two years, Chief of the Hat Noppharat Thara – Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, Prayoon Phongphan, told The Phuket News today (Oct 28).

Heavy rain for much of Thailand in next 24 hours as Molave approaches

9.4-Billion-Baht Spending Expected in Loy Krathong
