Accommodation In Thap Sakae/hat Wanakorn

Featured Replies

It's not Hua Hin but can anybody give any advice regarding accommodation near Hat Wanagorn beach or alternatively in Thap Sakae district.

From the internet, I can see the National Park has bungalows there but does anybody know if there are private operators in the area.

If not, I'll stay in Thap Sakae and get a motorbike taxi or something up to the beach. Could anybody suggest a good place to stay in this district.

Thanks.

Just drive along the beach. The coast is dotted with several small resorts. Some nice, some not so. You should have no problem finding a place to stay. There is also a small hotel, its near a small fishing village which I can not recall the name of.

Good luck

Try Laem Kum Beach Resort 3 km south of Thap Sakae or Rocky Point on same beach. Or try Jack's Beach resort near Huay Yang.

Ended up staying in Khlong Wan which is just south of Ao Manao, which is just south of Meuang, Prajuab. It's a bit of a Thai resort. By that I mean a lot of Thai tour groups and pick-ups and rot dtoos. Turn up, crack open the lao, whack on the sounds nice and loud. Keep going all night. Not really my scene.

We did visit Hat Wanagorn (400฿ for those that monitor these things). Too wet to inspire me to rent a tent. I didn't bring my own. There were some resorts south of Hat Wanagorn but they were all full, well the ones we phoned anyway.

Also visited the Myanmar border crossing at Darn Singkhorn. Lots of orchids and teak furniture.
