BANGKOK (NNT) - The Prime Minister has delivered his statement at the 37th ASEAN Summit, highlighting the importance of public health cooperation and economic recovery efforts in tackling the COVID-19 crisis

During the Plenary session, General Prayut Chan-O-Cha, the Prime Minister joined leaders of 9 other ASEAN member states. General Prayut highlighted elements needed to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic in ASEAN.

He emphasized that COVID-19 vaccines should be global public goods, which are accessible to all, that there must be cooperation through newly established ASEAN Comprehensive Recovery Framework, building long-term resilience by strengthening fundamentals through further regional integration and working together towards regional stability.

Later, ASEAN leaders adopted 6 important documents: Ha Noi Declaration on the ASEAN Community’s Post-2025 Vision, Ha Noi Declaration on the Adoption of the Initiative for ASEAN Integration Work Plan IV, Ha Noi Declaration on Strengthening Social Work towards a Cohesive and Responsive ASEAN Community, The Narrative of ASEAN Identity, the ASEAN Declaration on Digital Tourism and, finally, the ASEAN Declaration on a Framework for an ASEAN Travel Corridor Arrangement.

He is Thailands supreme leader and any title given is well deserved due the many remarkable achievements he has made to the country,s  wellbeing and prosperty.......

Thailand wants to integrate so it can lead.   It is doubtful other nations will want to follow a feckless, military controlled Thailand.

Interesting news by Singapore this morning

They donated 100,000 SD to Aseans Covid fight

That shows how much they value the alliance

Was anybody listening...or were they all gone by then.

Global Public Goods ?

The vaccines ( when they are completely tested and ready ) belong to the Pharma Companies. Of course some Governments will be first in the Que, as they have provided Funds and Expertise to to the Companies.

They are the ones that have invested Billions of Dollars into finding these Vaccines, and they should have their rewards financially for all the Knowledge and hard work.

Don't worry. Thailand can get the untested Sino-Russo vaccine, while the West gets the vaccine that works safely.
