60 day affidavit - Pai, Chaing Rai, or Lampang

Featured Replies

It seems the Chiang Mai office is only extending this application until Dec. 30 by the reports I have read.  Others are extending until Jan. 30ish.

Has anyone tried Pai, Chiang Rai, or Lampang to see how they are issuing this 60 day extension?  I haven't read any reports from these offices (or at least I missed them if they were reported?

Thanks all.

Lampang is the best choice, i had called them.

Bangkok, Samui have been giving 60 days.  Not sure about Pai and Chiang Rai.  As far as I know, Chiang Mai is the only one doing 30 days.

Pattaya only gives 30 days also, do you know if I could go anywhere else to get 60 days ?

Thank you.

Bangkok, you could stay overnight and the hotel does a Tm30.

Chiang Mai Immigration refused to extend my visa. They needed an airline ticket to leave Thailand and a letter from  the consulate.

@ELMqgpwhat is your next plan?  I was going to go to CM today but I'm not sure I will now.  I've heard nothing about Pai but would gladly drive up there for a night or 2 if I knew what to expect.same for Lampang or Chiang Rai.  I like to travel around a bit and spend time in various places so BKK or others I will consider as well. I wonder how Udon is handling applications..

I'm going to Lampang this afternoon. I suggest you try pai and Chiang Rai, and if any of us get a visa, please share the experience here.

So you'll go to immigration in Lampang tomorrow (assuming you need a tm30 from somewhere in lampang)?  Or can you try today without tm30?

Who was the one who refused you? Was it the IO at the main counter or the ladies who organize the papers ahead of time?
