AUGUSTA, Ga. (Reuters) - Not for the first time at a major, a poor first round all but ended Rory McIlroy's victory chances and left him wondering what he needs to do to overcome his Masters jinx and complete the career grand slam.

LONDON (Reuters) - Johnson & Johnson launched a new late-stage trial in Britain on Monday to test a two-dose regimen of its experimental COVID-19 vaccine among thousands of volunteers, as the U.S. drugmaker expands its trials by geography and type.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's economy contracted less than expected in the third quarter, a sharp recovery from the prior quarter as domestic activity rebounded after coronavirus curbs were eased, leading the government to raise growth estimates for this year.

EXIM Thailand targets 4% export growth in 2021

The Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand) forecasts Thai export growth as high as 4 per cent in 2021, as global trade and economy recovers from a low base of -10 per cent. However, export growth may not return to 2019 levels due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions around the world, cautioned the bank’s president Pisit Serewiwattana.

Supreme Court upholds 50-year jail sentence for ex-TAT governor, 40 years for daughter

Bangkokians advised to prepare for heavy traffic in Kiak Kai area on Tuesday

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Commercial banks in Thailand are expected to post loan growth of 3-5% this year with lending in the current quarter expanding faster than the previous quarter's pace as the economy recovers, a senior director at the Bank of Thailand (BOT) said on Monday.
