I would be very grateful if someone can advise the latest information on what documents are required to obtain a Residence Certificate from Chaengwattana.

 

I am a 50 year old British male on a Non-O Guardian Visa - on 12 month extension.

 

I rent my condo.

However I have seen conflicting lists on different threads on TV hence my question to get the latest list based on recent visits.

 

Can I just ask if they also need such things as the following?

 

*  Rental contract

*  Copy of condo owners ID card

You won't apply for RC at CW. 

You go to MTT. 

I did this few weeks back. I had lease etc with me. All they wanted was copy of my 90 day report (as Ubonjoe pointed out)

It's 200baht and they post it out to you. Takes couple of weeks. 

Be aware that I think it's only valid for 30 days so make it match up with dates you require it for. Example DL.

Read this thread. It's about 90 day report but has all the info you need.

I have a question about residence certificate.  I want to get driver license.  I just apply for Retirement Visa and am waiting to go pick up visa.  I see it said above that I need 90 day report to get certificate.  I have not ever done 90 day report before (no need before).  Also, I see above I get certificate at MTT not CW.  So my questions:

 

1) When is 1st 90 day report to be done?  Is before I apply for 1 year extension of permission to stay or after 1 year extension is done?  Before I never do 90 day because always here on 30 or 60 day visa and have to leave and come back.

 

2) For residence certificate, must wait until after 1st 90 day report is done before I can apply for certificate, or can I apply before I do report during the initial 90 day of retirement visa?  So I only have the residence certificate application, passport (with 90 day retirement visa stamp), and copy of lease?

 

I was hoping after I get stamp at CW, I could go right away to apply for residence certificate at same visit, but it seem I have to go to MTT.  Hope I can do same day.
