November 29, 20205 yr Run for health campaign proves fatal for two men By The Nation Two runners fainted and died on Sunday during a campaign to encourage children to exercise in Rayong province. About 1,400 runners participated in the 10-kilometre race in Pluak Daeng district at 6am. The two male runners -- Narasit Sansompak, 54, and Sakan Janthiya, 30 -- fainted after running for four kilometres. The paramedic team tried to save their lives but it was too late. Rayong Hospital will perform an autopsy to find out the cause of death. November 29, 20205 yr Popular Post It sure is okay running for health, but one should still et a check-up before if you are not a regular runner...and even regular runners over a certain age. RIP these two and the other guy who also fainted in another run...and died.

November 30, 20205 yr That's very sad news RIP I wonder if they were regular runners or just turned up for the event? Yes running can be deadly for people in poor health but otherwise its healthy to do sport. Maybe they should do a medical checkup on all contestants before racing to avoid this happening again?
November 30, 20205 yr ^I think like a lot of people that participate in these events (myself included), they just agree to turn up on-spec when family, friends, or co-workers ask for applicants to do these charity runs. Very sad for their loved ones.
