A man who illegally smuggled 13 Cambodians into Thailand was arrested in Surin province early on Wednesday.

At 5.30am, the police arrested Thawatchai Yantaphan, 24, who was hired to transport illegal immigrants to appointed provinces.

Each of the 13 Cambodians paid him Bt2,000 for the trip into Thailand.

Thawatchai was charged with hiding or helping illegal immigrants enter the country and for illegal transportation, while the Cambodians faced charges of illegal entry.

Police patrols in Surin have been intensified as vehicles transport goods into the kingdom from the neighbouring country.

The truck drivers are normally screened and their vehicles sanitised before entering Thailand to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Yet another example of the exceptional diligence the Thais have shown this year to keep the covid infections low.
Smart people.

Steven100 are you not getting bored?

Those are just some poor Cambodians who want to work for wealthy Thai businesses and contribute to the economy. Salutes to the authorities to catch those illegal unwanted aliens while numerous burmese girls rot in thai brothels meant for thai men.

And the exceptional ignorance of Thai traffickers hard at work helping to keep people smuggling alive and well.

Dumb people.

Thankfully it is only a handful of dumb selfish hookers and smugglers.

one in every 22 people have tested positive in the USA now where more people have died of covid in the last 20 minutes than the grand total of Thailand for the entire year.

Or the more than 60,000 dead in the UK or Italy which is more than double the Thai road deaths.

Or the deaths in Australia where it is fifteen times worse than Thailand despite having less than half the population.

Just for some perspective.
There is no pleasing some people though.

Kind regards

Stevo

Perhaps you can legally smuggle them instead... Why on earth do they think we don't know the Cambodians were smuggled illegaly? Smuggling, by its very nature, is an illegal act.
