Non 'O' visa extension options?

Featured Replies

I entered on non 'O' visa based on marriage on October 26th so stamped in until Jan 23rd. I don't have original marriage certificate with me, it's in the UK. What are my options between now and January 23rd? I have THB 800,000 in my account here but it only reached that level this week. Obviously I don't want to go out and come back in and face quarantine again if possible. TIA.

You could apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife. She will need to be with you when you apply.

You can take a copy of your marriage certificate to an Amphoe and have the copy certified. The will attach a print out of your Kor Ror 2 marriage registry to it also. Immigration will accept the certified copy of it instead of the original. Make a copy of it to submit with your application and keep the original certified copy.

She is in the UK until February. Are there any other options? I guess 'Visa runs' are suspended currently? I have had more than THB 400,000 in for 2 months and have transferred large amounts in in November & December, could i do retirement based on 'combination' or does that have to be a longer period?

Oh great. I didn't know if there was still such a thing. I will follow that path if it is still open and then extend based on retirement later.

Many thanks.
