Today I visited the Rayong immigration office. Asked a 60 days extension. I have had an earlier arranged at 21 august 60 days  extension, valid 26 November. The government extended the visa amnesty until 31 October. Promised all visa extension validity is starting from 31 October. So I was quiet my visa expire until the end of December. The Rayong immigration office do not want to respect the government rule. and told me my visa expired 26 November. so charged me with 9000 THB overstay fine. I paid 1.900 THB for a 60 days extension, but they give only an under consideration stamp till 29 December. What can I do? All advices is appreciated

That was only intended for extension done in September and it was not automatic, People had to return to immigration to have there extension dates changed to October 31st.

I returned to the immigration office at october, and asked them, change the date from 31. october. They told me, no matter, everybody are knowing, in the immigration offices, the government extended the visa amnesty till 31 october, and my 60 days extension starting from 31 october.

If they did not change the date that your extension ended you were legally on an overstay.

Extensions done in September and October were supposed to start on November 1st.

In August they were supposed to start on September 26th when the amnesty in effect at that time was going to end.
