Your sister is only one person, and unfortunately her kids are missing out on getting to know you. Different people will always judge us through their own values and filters. I think every family has differences somehow, and we just have to navigate life as best we can. In the end, it is character that means something, not success or wealth. Still, we owe each other respect for our differences, not only because we are family.
