Anyone from the Netherlands successfully made it to Thailand recently? Which PCR test did yo buy?

Featured Replies

I arranged a PCR test from this website.
www.pcrtestnederland.nl
On their website they specifically mention that it is a RT-PCR Nextgen test .
Since the Thai Embassy in The Netherlands says:
'Obtain a Fit-to-fly medical certificate and a COVID-19 RT-PCR test result'

But this company told me that on the certificate that I receive, it does not specifically say that it is a 'RT-PCR' test, but something in the lines of:

"it is Nextgen Rapid PCR test, for the full assay, please visit the website". I put the Dutch text that they send me below. (They did mention that the certificate will be given also in English)

I read that in Thailand they really like to see 'PT-PCR test', and not just 'PCR test'. Did anyone from the Netherlands made it, if so, what company did you use?
Extra question: did you get the fit-to-fly certificate at your GP/huisarts, or somewhere else?

I arranged everything else (COE has been approved), but this PT-PCR and fit-to-fly, seem to be the most tricky things to get exactly right.

I’ve just arrived in TH and did my test in The Netherlands last week at one of the test locations of https://coronalab.eu

The certificate does state RT-PCR, see below,

i got my fit to fly certificate signed by my ‘huisarts’.

I did the RT-PCR test at Medimare (https://www.medimare.nl/contact.html). The are fast (within 24 hrs) and also provide the Fit to Fly certificate and are very familiair with Thailand requirements.  Price for both is not cheap at 211 euro per person. What I did not like is that they did not put my full name as per passport on the test and certificate (only initials and my last name and for my wife only her full last name) as that could have caused problems (fortunately it did not).

The test should clearly state RT-PCR test and quick or fast test are not allowed.

Thanks a lot for the replies. I got an e-mail back from the company I mentioned before, they corrected themselves, stating that their certificate does have RT-PCR on it. The price was 145 euro.

I get a consult from the GP (to get the fit to fly certificate), they charge 35 euros.

My gp didn’t charge me, no consult, issued based on my medical file.
