The British actor played Daniel Cleaver in the franchise, which began with Bridget Jones’s Diary in 2000. At the time of Zellweger’s casting, many questioned whether an American should be playing the role of Helen Fielding’s British character. Sounds overly exaggerated, that hooker in Los Angeles he got caught with said he had teeny-weeny syndrome, not much stretching required. Let's get Liz Hurley in here and get her opinion. I liked him in a Woody Allen movie where he played a character of the sort of person I thought he would be if he didn't make it in show biz.
