Provinces raise COVID-19 checks as New Year travels protocol

BANGKOK (NNT) - Many provinces have reinstated COVID-19 precautionary protocols for travelers during this New Year holiday, when many people are expected to visit their hometowns or make a trip somewhere. Passengers at bus stations are now being screened for symptoms before being allowed to travel.

Deputy PM Anutin attends teleconference to discuss COVID-19 situation in Samut Sakhon

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Governor of Samut Sakhon, Veerasak Vijitsaengsri, has tested positive for COVID-19. He previously attended a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, and related officials. The Deputy Prime Minister, whose latest test result is negative, is now in quarantine for 14 days.

Second nest of baby leatherback turtles hatch at Bang Khwan Beach

PHUKET:-- A total of 47 baby leatherback turtles hatched and successfully made their way into the sea from a nest on Bang Khwan Beach last night (Dec 28), the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) has reported.

Foreigners who have been vaccinated still need to quarantine
