Daily News reported that far fewer people are set to leave and enter Bangkok by bus this New Year as the Covid-19 spike gains ground.

Spokesmen Manot Saichuto of the national bus company said that 25,000 had travelled so far and only 70,000 to 80,000 are expected to travel from now, as of 12 noon yesterday.

1,017 trips have left Bangkok, 1,900 have arrived from up-country.

The company would be forced to refund 4.6 million baht in unused tickets.

Some 160,000 trips were made last year.

The last buses to leave Bangkok each night would depart at 23.30, he said.

As is the way, the 4 Day Holiday is not. Its closer to 10 Days,  and many Business,s will not reopen until maybe Tues or Weds of Next week because their Staff are still in Isaan.
