3 minus 2
one of the true charecters of UK football.. brought flair and passion via a relegation bac to a very 'down in the tooth' man utd, had a major hand in putting together a great Scottish national team..and put together the start of a Chelsea team that went on and challenged the best att. TRULY shocking that the footballing world had no place for a man of his calibre and expierence. NE1
I know that some of the ex players who played under him had problems with his lying . Denis Law ,George Graham , Paddy Crerand , Willie Morgan to name a few. Apparently he was a " behind your back manager ". and was not as well respected as people thought. oldgit
While Ted Drake dragged a stale Chelsea team to greater heights by introducing Chelsea youth players, Greavsie being one of them, the Doc went even further and brought a brand of exhilirating, exciting football with more young players and astute signings. Pity the Chelsea board weren't on the same wavelength. Tommy Doc will always be revered as an exceptional manager for Chelsea.
