Drunk driving remains top cause of holiday road accidents

Featured Replies

I believe I read that the police were not doing many alcohol testing during the 7 day period because of the chance of spreading covid. With this being publicised what do they expect, more people will drink and drive because they can get away with it.

"Drunk driving [in Thailand] remains top cause of holiday road accidents"  And in other breaking news, water remains the top cause of being wet.  It won't be newsworthy until the whole "mai pen

  • The number one cause of accidents is driving under the influence, at 33.96%, followed closely by speeding, at 33.45%. Most accidents so far have involved motorcycles, at a current 82.03%.

I know of many villages where the police is never seen!

Places like this are doing their own thing and driving drunk is one of them.

No chance of ever getting caught unless death catches up with you,and it happens a lot!

Imo it is not the highways but the byways and places like Nakhoneverywhere.

Lack of awareness and insufficient driving skills remains top cause of all road accidents

Because the drunks know there are virtually no BiB on the streets...

The traffic is probably the thing I hate the most about Thailand, and it's not just the Thais that drive like nuts.
