12/24 months fixed savings account on 400k

Featured Replies

What Thai bank have the best interest rate on a 12/24 month saving bond ?.

My 12 months bonds coming to end very shortly with Bangkok Bank.

At the moment I'm getting 1.50% on 400k ฿, which is for my upcoming married visa renewal.

Is that 1.5% rate still available?

I am looking for the highest dog beer available... [yes, dog beer = interest rate]

no way, 0.5 is the new norm, if you are lucky

you know, to help the bank from getting more profit from you depositing your money, they can get intrest at still 6-7 percent for loans they give out of thin air

Rates are now closer to 0.5% on fixed deposits.  Good luck on finding better.

SCB is 1.5% long term deposit. The cashier who opened the account for me said that foreigners are tax exempt. Same as most expats now, put my 400k in, forget about it and take the 6k baht interest out every year. (or not)

Why take out the 6k baht every year.  It buts very little.  Ever hear of compound interest?  It's how many have started their nest egg.

Compound interest is a lough. I shall not live long enough to see those eggs hatch making me rich even if I lived another 50 years.

ok, might try when some fixed deposits expire in a few months

my backup plan is to put it in my children's name, no problem for me, if I die, they are the only one that deserve my money
