Well the topic says it.

What is the reason you have to leave country every 90 days with multi entry non o visa (1 year) but after you do extension you can just do 90 days reporting?

Is there a specific reason for this?

Upon entering the country with a non-immigrant visa you will get a permission to stay for 90 days, then you have to leave the country, if you want to stay longer you have to apply for an extension. It is like this because the Thai government wants it to be like this.

yes the multi entry non imm 'O' visa only gives you a permission to stay stamp for 90 days, whereas the yearly extension gives you a permission to stay stamp of 1 year (in 99% of cases).

a multi entry non imm 'O''A' visa also give s you a 1 year permission to stay stamp, so 90 day reports required

easy really
