webfact Posted January 17, 2021 Posted January 17, 2021 320 new COVID-19 cases found in Samut Sakhon on Sunday afternoon Samut Sakhon province recorded another 320 new COVID-19 cases late Sunday afternoon, pushing total infections in the province, since December 17th, to 4,359. According to the provincial health office, of the new cases, 269 were found through pro-active screening and all are Myanmar migrant workers. 51 cases were diagnosed in hospital, including eight Thais. Pro-active screening in the community is about 50% complete. There are still about 900 people at high-risk, in the central shrimp market community and the Sri Muang dormitory, who are to be tested next week. chilly07 Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 All immigrant worker fish markets and immigrant worker dormitories and immigrant construction worker "villages" throughout Thailand need isolating now! Make employers responsible for fair wages, proper housing quarantine and testing so that it is cheaper to employ Thais!
