I'm looking to do a STV. After Quarantine I'm looking to do 2 weeks in a normal hotel (or something like that). I don't want to attach me to a 1-year rental contract before doing some on-the-ground-inspection. Any workarounds here you guys could help me with? 

 

How much do they check the rental contract? I'm looking to upload an old one with changed dates, just for a peace of mind...

Book a hotel on booking.com with last minute cancellation. Cancel it the day before you leave ASQ.

Does this actually work? My embassy lists the requirement as "The reservation must be issued by the hotel showing the duration of stay, and hotel’s contact details and tax ID number" - You can't get this through booking.com can you?
