DTN Hopes Asean Community Will Be Set Up Within 7 Years

DTN hopes AC will be set up within 7 years

The Director General of the Department of Trade Negotiations (DTN), Ms. Suthima Boonyaprapat (ชุติมา บุณยประภัศร), hopes the Asean Community (AC) will be set up within 7 years.

The DTN Director General remarks the AC establishment is considered important for Asean member countries as it will create joint production base and eliminate tariff barriers. AC countries will jointly issue trade policies and boost investment in Asean region.

Ms. Suthima says AC is beneficial for all sectors by pushing them to increase its potential in competing in the global market and stimulating export.
