libya 115 Posted May 11, 2007 Share Posted May 11, 2007 SOURCE: Pattaya People: May 11th 2007 German Tourist Suspected of Stealing Whiskey The Pattaya Police received a report in the afternoon of 10th May from the head security guard at the Carrefour Shopping Mall that he had detained a tourist that tried to steal a bottle of “Lao Khao” Thai whiskey worth not more than 40 Baht from the store. At the scene the police found the 51 year old German Mr. Rainer Fahle together with the cheap bottle of spirit so escorted him back to the station for questioning. The security guard stated that he spotted the man trying to steal the whiskey by wrapping it up with newspaper and walking out without paying so detained him and called the police. On the other hand, Mr. Fahle denied stealing so further investigations must be made starting with inspecting the surveillance camera at the store. The stuff is dirty cheap, personally can't stand the smell of the stuff. If was to hangout near the motorcycle taxis stop he could get a couple of shots of the stuff for free.
