webfact Posted January 22, 2021 Share Posted January 22, 2021 Anti-gambling drive continues with nationwide raids of online betting business Picture: Daily News Fifteen places in Bangkok, Uttaradit and Phitsanulok were raided by Thailand's tech police yesterday in an operation against an online gambling group. The center of the gang's activities was in Phitsanulok. The gang used the address UFAKKK.com. It had 250 million baht a month in turnover in Phitsanulok and 500 million baht in total. Plenty of computers and servers were seized along with all account records. 28 arrests were made. Picture: Daily News Drugs and money laundering were linked to the center in Phitsanulok. Tests for drugs were positive and a quantity was found. 400,000 baht in cash and two cars with Bangkok plates , a BMW and a Civic, were seized. Daily News reported this was part of an ongoing anti-gambling drive initiated by PM Prayuth Chan-ocha. The media provided phone numbers for the public to call to report miscreants. Agreed, they must be seriously hurting now with all their avenues of extortion, racketeering, insurance, tea money drying up due to covid, Now this, wherever will it end.........possibly quite a few Mia Nois joining that 1.5 million on the poverty line.
