X-rays revealed that the man had two four inch nails and a two inch nail inside him as well as a four inch piece of wire. The metal objects were lodged in both his stomach and large intestine warranting one hour long surgery to open up both sites. Dr Santi Sukwan the deputy director said that the man had swallowed the nails and wire in an effort to kill himself after being stressed out by the Covid pandemic. The first night he felt only a mild ache but by the second day he needed surgery.
