USPS large box from US to BKK - Cheap getting here, expensive sending back???

Last year I mailed a large, flat rate box weighing 35 lbs from BKK to the US for 3200 THB for a 2 month arrival.  Now I am in the US and I want to send the same box back to BKK. I cannot find anywhere to do so. UPS wants to charge $1,500 (about 42,000 THB!!!!) for a 7-10 day arrival. I don't need it done that quickly, I just need it done cheap.

 

Anyone have any clues?

What are the dimensions? The weight is not as important. The reason I ask is if it will fit in the USPS box then there is a set fee for shipping under a set weight. I would check with USPS online you can put the address and dimensions/weight to see what it will be. The last box I mailed USA to Sakon Nakhon was 65USD and arrived in 3 weeks.
