No need 90 days Reporting?

Featured Replies

I'm on STV, just extended my stay for the first time, for 3 months. Do I need to do 90 days Reporting?

I have conflicting information, both officers Visa Extension Office ( 3rd Floor ) and 90 days Reporting Office ( 2nd floor ) in Nonthaburi, said i am not required to do so. I spoke with them in broken Thai. 1178, however asked me to do 90 days reporting instead.

When did you arrive in Thailand ?

Unless somehow they are considering your first extension as your first report (which is the way they do it for annual extensions). But if that is the  case there should be a slip stapled inside your passport indicating such with your next 90 day due date.

There isn't such slip though. There is a note stamped, "Notification of Residence must be made every 90 days"

I'd err on the safe side and file a report in person on/before 11/12 Feb.

I'd report....just FYI and I'm also using Nonthaburi...I would not trust what they say..not that they are intentionally misleading you..but they have been pretty inconsistent in the past...I would consider their info as unreliable and likely to hit you with a 2000 baht fine next time around.

Thank you @tonray @mtls2005. I wasted another trip up north to Nonthaburi, and submitted in-person. Accepted without any question.
