i am empassing the point.....AND who  are you to tell me what to do????

Must be a bad Sunday for you, enjoy the day and relax.  If you argue like this all the time trying to make a point I do feel sorry If you were ever in an accident, wont go over very well, but if you have videography, it is the proof needed for you to seize the day.  Enjoy the rest of the day.  Tata

OK I and the forum rules will tell you please don't write all in capitals, it's difficult to read and is the internet equivalent of shouting!

A single word or two capitalised to make a point (like you did in the quoted text) is acceptable of course.

Forum rules are here https://forum.thaivisa.com/terms/

And let's try and stay on-topic shall we?

I bought my motorcycle before getting my Thai DL.  I don't know if it made a difference but I got an international drivers permit before coming to Thailand.  IIRC the dealership made a copy of my permit and US-CA license for them to submit to DLT.  I also supplied an affidavit notarized by the US embassy as proof of residency.  For my DL which I got months later I used another notarized affidavit.  Note that the cost for each affidavit was $50 but I got it the day of the embassy appointment.  Also I was able to use a single affidavit for both my car and motorcycle licenses.
