Land Transfer Fees (how Are They Calculated?)

Recommended Posts

My Girlfriend has been given a house and land in korat by her grandmother.

She wants me to pay the transfer fees at the amphur office in Korat.

She says it will cost around 80,000 baht.

How do they calculate the fees, is it based on land value, land area or some other method?

We transferred 3 lots to combine into 1 in Sakonakorn province a couple years ago. It cost around 2000 baht and we were told if we wanted to have the house listed on the lot as well it would cost an additional 20,000 baht. So we have 3-4 rai of land on the title, that has a house on it that is not on the title.

You don't talk about how much land is involved and if there are buildings included so it is very hard to judge any right amount. I do not know the rates though and can be of no help on that issue.

But for sure 80,000 sounds like a lot of house/land is involved.
