Non-b In Kuala Lumpur

Featured Replies

Asking for a friend of mine:

Are Kuala Lumpur doing NON-B Multiple entries if you provide perfect company paperwork? If not, where is the closest place from Thailand?

Singapore?

Yes KL will issue a 90 day b-visa with company documentation.

After which they will issue a one year b-visa when you present a WP along with the docs.

Yes, KL will issue a 12 month non-b multiple entry, I got one this month. They require you to have an existing work permit that has a validity period of 1 year (see page 5 of WP). You will need all necessary company paperwork (ideally prepared by an accountant), a letter from the company and 500 ringits. I also supplied extra stuff like a map of office, picture of office and copies of educational certificates. All documents were stamped with officical company stamp.

If you have got all the above PM me and I will supply more info on hotels, the embassy etc.

Sometimes they have months, they are give one year’s multi entry visas with work permits and sometimes they don’t. Right now this month, they are giving multi entry visas ( if they have the correct paperwork and a one year valid work permit) to certain nationalities.

Hello,

I also need a non-b, but have no work permit yet. I actually need the non-b in order for my new employer to apply for the work permit. At least I assume they don't give you one on a tourist visa. Or do I apply first and then get the visa in KL? I'm not sure about this procedure.

So, can I get a non-b single entry in KL without the work permit?

I assume yes. Then what is the list of things I need to provide them with? (company registration, tax forms, etc)

Your help is much appreciated.

Forgot to ask:

- Will this get you only a three month visa or also for 1 year?

- No need for a WP3 form that I see mentioned elsewhere?

Thanks again.

My Non-B just expired and I will have to go somewhere.

I have had my working permit extended for one more year.

I'm the only the only farang emloyeed.

I'm the managing director and major shareholder in the company.

Does all of the above apply for me?

- No need for a WP3 form that I see mentioned elsewhere?

I think it differs from place to place. I got refused a 3 month single entry non-immigrant B visa in Penang towards the end of last year because I didn't have the WP3 form. I was just given a tourist visa which I then had to get upgraded to a Non Immigrant visa at the immigration dept. in Bangkok, which is a real hassle and best avoided if at all possible.

Conversely, about 18 months ago in my previous job, I applied for a non-immigrant B visa in London and was given it with only having numbers 1, 3 and 5 from the above list. Probably best to err on the side of caution though...
