Run silent, run deep. With a depth of 58 meters in its waters, Thailand is the only sub power able to sit on the bottom and see what's going on with a periscope.

And that means the subs can be spotted easily from the air.

Quote

the PM saying the submarines were vital to Thailand’s long term defences.

Long term of about 5 minutes.

I wonder if the Facebook page is going to include live tracking data. You know so the rest of the navy can find them when they go missing and the enemy can target them effectively.

Cheers

Surely all they need is the mobile number of the U-Boat commander and his facebook page.

They'll know everything within seconds, including what he had for lunch with a photo of it.

Wait, until they start their own submarines, not Chinese copies. Made in Thailand is an International recognized proof for highest quality.

They'll have ten nuclear reactors that run on Somtham Lao producing 0.004 kilowatt.

they can fly to the moon man.....whats a bit a water.....heard the fb page sunk without a trace :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

''Vital to Thailands Defences''    I hope not as they will never be used other than on Navy open days !

Probably gonna be Moored up in Sattahip just the the Flagship Aircraft Carrier, which has no Aircraft and a crew of 500+.

For simplicity and as a token of deep cultural friendship, the CCP will provide the crews to operate the submarines (since Thailand has no qualified crews of its own)

and to avoid misunderstanding the subs will operate in the south china seas to protect shipping access to india, using chinese call signs and chinese military command structures.

To save Thai budget, the red flags on the conning towers and the vessel designation paintwork will be left unchanged.
