webfact Posted February 16, 2021 Share Posted February 16, 2021 Bangkok bus driver tests positive for Covid - was feverish after driving his bus downtown Picture: Sanook The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority has admitted that one of their drivers is suffering from Covid and is in hospital. He fell ill after driving his bus - #34 - from Rangsit to Hualampong and back on Saturday. The conductor on the bus is being tested and the bus has been sprayed. A timeline of his movements has been announced. His infection came to light after proactive testing at the Suchart Market in Pathum Thani north of Bangkok near where the driver lives. The timeline: From February 1 - 12 he was asymptomatic. He was tested at the market on the 11th. On the 13th he drove bus number 34. His temperature was 36.5C, he cleaned his hands with alcohol gel and wore a mask. He drove from Rangsit leaving at 1.45 pm to Hua Lampong arriving at 3 pm. He then drove back reaching Rangsit again at 7.28 pm. By this time he was feverish and had a headache and muscle pains. He saw a doctor and was sent home. On Sunday 14th he heard he was positive for Covid and is now in Lam Lukka Hospital.
