webfact
Chon Buri tourism recovers as COVID-19 spread stalls Paphamon Arayasukawat BANGKOK (NNT) - Hard hit by the second wave of COVID-19 last month, Pattaya City and Ko Lan in Chon Buri have now been declared COVID-19 free and are ready to welcome tourists back to their natural attractions and beaches. Pattaya City Deputy Mayor Manoch Nongyai has announced that Ko Lan island off Pattaya’s coast has now been declared free of COVID-19 infections, following a half month closure of the island to contain the spread. Since 21st January, Ko Lan has reopened to tourists, with as many as 4,000 visitors over the past long weekend, and all accommodation on the island fully booked, reflecting confidence in the measures being taken to prevent the spread. Pattaya City, Mr Manoch said today the city hasn’t found a new COVID-19 patient for several days, while inviting holidaymakers to visit and enjoy beaches with clear water and pristine natural attractions, while many hotels are ready to accommodate visitors. -- © Copyright NNT 2021-02-17 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

Guess they lived an isolated life and got the virus from their Burmese maid and gardener. 1

Soikhaonoiken
This report is totally incorrect, saying that no new covid 19 cases have been reported for several days..... What about the report yesterday when the Australian & Chinese ex-pat tested positive when they went for a test to go overseas, must have forgotten those.. ???? mikebell
Are tourists being equipped with free SCUBA gear? Anti-rabies shots? PM2.5 breathing filters?
