Pictures posted online last week that tugged at the Thai heartstrings resulted in a staggering 7,200,000 baht in donations to a Kamphaeng Phet mother and her son.

Noi Iamsa-at, 81, and Jamnian, 62, were pictured in the queue for "Rao Chana" handouts at the Krung Thai bank, They were on the floor feeding each other.

The snaps went viral and so did the donations.

So much so that daughter Lek Bunthat,60, has called a halt to the donations telling people they should help other needy folk.

Not surprisingly Manager found them all smiling at a seating area next to where they live.

Lek pointed to where they plan to build a house for their mum to make her life more comfortable.

The donations went past the 7 million baht mark in just two days showing the power of Thai social media.

They are going to find they have many new friends and distant

relations they never knew they had, while its great news for them,

I think such a large sum (for them) will destroy their lives, kudos

for those donors who helped them out.

Hope the 'management fund' organizers are morally sound.

Why would they receive that amount of money over 150000 UK pounds crazy
