I believe the figure mentioned has too many zeros, try 600 if you are lucky considering all the conflicting statements made over the past 6 months touting get rich schemes mixed with the Thai peoples surveyed who do not wont us tourists. Why should any one believe you or trust your words.

Percentages and crystal balls. Here's a percentage for TAT London office; 6 million British people travelling to Thailand in 2021 would be close on to 9% of the UK population. Given that UK freedom to travel will not resume until 17th May at earliest then thats a lot of Brits (about 900,000 per month) for each of the remaining 7 months of the year. Is there even that much quarantine capacity in Thailand because? TAT lose more credibility, that's if they ever had any, every time they come up with these nonsense "surveys". Pie in the sky they are a bunch of deluded dreamers trying to justify their cushy number living in London at the expense of Thai citizens.

Thailand is starting to price itself out of the market. What saves it is that a lot of flights use it as a stopover to other places like from oz to europe so people use it for a few days layover.

Prayut, too, has started making the necessary noises to prepare the public for the re-opening of Thailand to mass vaccinated tourism, probably starting with Israel, who have already vaccinated 90% of their population, in April.

Many of you here seem oblivious to just how much demand has built up in the UK for getting back out into the world. People who usually have four or five breaks per year now want to go all out, they want to embrace the world with something bigger and more memorable than Marbella or Provence.

There is plenty of money around. Some people lost jobs, but the majority kept getting paid. Trapped at home, and unable to go out to their usual restaurants and pubs, most people saved quite a bit. People with online businesses have made more money than ever.

So, this summer, when most of the UK population have been innoculated, and the level of infection is back below 0.1%, Thailand will open their doors to UK tourists, swapping the current quarantine, testing, and special insurance requirements for, instead, a simple vaccine passport requirement.

At that point, the rush to get the Hell out of the UK and to Thailand will break all the records. It certainly won't be six million people but it would not at all surprise me if, in just the second half of this year, they came close to the record of one million UK visitors.

6.000.000 people, in the next 10 month is 600.000 each moth.

This is 20.000 each day,

Lets say each plane carries 300 tourists, 

This 66 Flights every day the rest 10 month....

That's a big difference to the 60 million population - also if it was expats it is possible they may get 1 in 10 wanting to return (which is negative it should have been 60 million) - but 6 million based on that sample size - i would need to question that press release!

Many tourists in France, Spain, UK or USA - are you saying that women and drinks are cheap in these countries?

You are looking at a small segment of travelers only, FYI, therefore families, married couples and single women who may not be that attracted by bars and cheap entertainment

You can always get the answer you want if you ask the right 4127 people. Same way you can get low COVID figures if you don't test anyone.

Sounds like pretty clear message that mass tourism isn't coming back with the current ASQ rules in force.

Before covid there were no insurance and quarantine requirements. Still, UK topped out at 1 million in 12 months.

There is no way that 6 million would come in 10 months - even if everyone in the UK can afford a holiday economically.

As another poster had pointed out - this number means 20,000 arrivals per day - every day for 10 months. Or more than 60 full flights from the UK daily. That is simply not realistic.  

If they reach 800,000 visitors from the UK,, I would be positively surprised
