It has everything to do with the neighborhood where people live, well-off people will not be the poor ones jumping into the back of a pickup truck. I have no supremacy towards the "common" people but Thai people certainly do have an attitude toward them, there is a huge class system here but if you are living in an area where your neighbours jump into the back of pickup trucks then you will not be aware of that. For example, I would not have a clue what happens in a very rich area like Knighrbridge in London as I do not have a spare 20 million pounds to spend on a house there.
