Of the vaccination plan, the tourism sector will receive 50,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines, out of a total 200,000 doses that had been shipped to the country in February. The sector expects to receive a second batch of five million doses, out of 26 million doses scheduled to arrive by end-June. These vaccines will be administered to 13,000 employees at 58 ALQ hotels in five major tourist cities – Phuket, Surat Thani, Chon Buri, Chiang Mai and Krabi (the first batch excludes Krabi). Look at me, I am vaccinated Sure but ensure it's a thick clunky gold chain for best effect (never mind the vaccine aspect).

It's just a certificate of vaccination, like you can get vax book when taking any vax. That name also reinforces thai state propaganda, that foreigners pose danger to local population. Now it's the other way round, as practically there is no vax in thailand till end of june, and many travellers had already one, hundreds of millions around the world. I do understand, that news comes from travel magazine, which try to be optimistic. Based on thai health minister musings, who contradicts himself every day and likes to be in the spotlight of mass media. Thailand won't have their own travel passport for incoming travellers. It might be one issued under WHO or air travel organisation IATA. Possibly European Union will also have one earlier, to speed up travel and tourism within it's borders. Those are mulled already for sometime and would be valid internationally. Thai travelling abroad would need rather internationally issued and recognised pass. One problem being such country passports are easier to forge, difficult to check on national database. Probably they won't have biometric chip and no pix. What is beyond believe that tourism sector, which is pretty much not existing now, gets 25% of available vax. They are not different from any other sectors. That priority is wrong. Only the health workers should get it now Edited March 8, 2021 by internationalism
