After receiving the first Retirement Non-O Stamp in Chiang Mai I am embarking on a long vacation in Bangkok and Koh Phangan, staying at hotels or apartments (all properly reporting TM30). I’m contemplating what would be the best way to get the one year extension.

Questions:

1.       Can I just go get the one year extension at Koh Phangan or Samui while staying at hotel or do I have to return to CM and re-rent an apartment?

2.       Proof of residence and copy of TM30 are another two items on the list I wonder how to comply with if I am not back in Chiang Mai and still staying at a Phangan hotel or apartment (collect TM 30 report from every hotel?).

You will have to apply for the one year extension of stay based upon retirement in Chiang Mai since that is where your non-o visa was issued.
