Thai Teak/wood Houses In Kit Form

Featured Replies

Can somebody please tell me where I can find a reputable company who specialise in Thai Teak/wood houses on stilts that come in kit form and range from 1- 4 bedrooms. Names and website's would be great...

Wow, Kit form in Thailand? i did not realise it existed in kit form,i thought only the scandis were pioneers in this,however very intersesting thread which i will be observing with interest.

The missus and I have checked out a few Song Thai houses in Ayutthaya. Sorry don'thave the names but if you're up that way bypass the town and keep on the north road, about 2-3 kms past the town you'll see quite a few yards on both sides of the road. we're looking at about five million and it's a huge floor area.

Hope this helps in some way

This has been discussed several times in the Real Estate, land and house ownership forum

A search reveals several matches;

prefab homes

modular or prefab homes

thai wooden house

modular teak houses

I was on Chaeng Wattana road the other day in BKK and passed 3 or 4 nice looking wooden model homes for sale by some outfit. If you are on that road heading towards Phaholyothin they are on the left hand side about 2 kms before you run into Phaholyothin.

The Thais all want brick/concrete houses 'cos they last longer and are more comfortable to live in. I know the Wooden places look nice but think again my friend. They are Bluddy expensive too.
