TAT to propose “Sandbox” travel bubble model to the CCSA this Friday

Featured Replies

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is to propose a new travel bubble model, for tourists from certain countries or cities, to enter the country without the requirement for quarantine, called “Sandbox”. If approved, it will be trialed on the resort island of Phuket.

Here we go again ! The "Phuket Model" all over again. Tourists who aren't good enough for the rest of Thailand are more than good enough for Phuket.

Have you got a workable solution for opening up tourism and stopping the spread of the virus? As far as I see it, tens of thousands of experts and government ministers around the world haven't found the magical formula, so what's yours?

And if not Phuket, then where?

It seems that there are thousands of government's employees of the TAT sitting there and scratching their heads and bums as to how to revive Thailand once glorious tourism billion dollars industry and now fledgling and almost nonexistent and thus coming up with all of these half baked ideas...

And the names they come up with...

Sandbox.

Where small children play, and probably the single-most infectious spot in the playground.

It does of course have another more relevant meeting.

And out of the ashes will rise fast trains ferrying millions of wealthy Chinese tourist's every year.  Thailand's tourism industry will be reborn once all those hotels are snapped up by Chinese businessman for cents on the dollar. out with the old and in with the new,  Cambodian style.

Nakhon Nowhere would work ! (KISS) Keep It Simple Stupid The solution is so easy yet notice the government seems more focused of making the rich even richer.
