It supplies water to the largest fresh water lake in Southeast Asia, Tonle Sap Lake and it brings fresh water to 220 kilometres of coastal fisheries, it added. Every year, 3,500 to 4,200 mm of rainfall are produced thanks to the Cardamom rainforest, meaning 22 major waterways are brimming with water which supports over 3,400 communities. While other countries are experiencing crippling droughts and water shortages, Cambodia’s Cardamom rainforest continues to sustain rainfall throughout the year.
